Minimum wage = Basic wage + DA
I. For zone I1. Unskilled = 14651/-

2. Semi-skilled = 15151/-

ZONES
The Ministry of Labour of Government of Maharashtra classified Zones in the State.
Zone I - Comprise of the area falling within the limits of all 'A' and 'B' class Municipal Corporations.
Zone II - Comprise of the areas falling within the limits of all 'C' and 'D' class Municipal Corporation and 'A' class of Municipal Councils and Cantonment areas.
Zone III - Comprise of all other areas in the state, which are not included in Zone I and Zone II.
Definition of Unskilled, Semi-skilled, Skilled & Highly Skilled Workers can be read in detail in the notifications in the government gazette. Explanation, in brief, is given below.
(i) Unskilled:
An unskilled employee performs simple duties, his duty requires a little experience and no independent judgment but familiarity with the occupational environment is necessary. His work may thus require in addition to physical exertion familiarity with a variety of articles or goods.
(ii) Semi-skilled:
A semiskilled worker has routine nature of work and limited. The work does not demand
much of the judgment or skill, whatever little judgment/skill required is for the proper
discharge of duties assigned to him or a relatively narrow job. All important decisions
related to the job are taken by others.

(iii) Skilled:
A skilled employee is one who is capable of working efficiently of exercising considerable independent judgment and of discharging his duties with responsibility. The capability of a skilled worker precludes that she/he has the complete knowledge required for carrying out responsibilities related to the work.
